While attending NASH76, Canada’s national student journalism conference, I documented my paper’s journey and created a montage. It took 16 hours to condense four days into six minutes; it brings a smile to my face every time I watch it.

For the 2014 UVic Students’ Society election, I prepared a series of interactive videos profiling candidates, allowing viewers to skip to the questions most pertinent to their interests. It culminated in the chairperson debate video, inspired by the New York Times’ interactive debate videos in the 2012 US presidential election. It was shot with two cameras and a field recorder into the mixer board for the highest sound quality.
This video, shot in 2013 introduces the Martlet’s associate editor at the time, Beth Parker. It was the first time I used a dual-dSLR setup to record an interview.
